Signature Trips Explained
What is a Rewilding Europe Signature trip?
In essence a Signature trip immerses travellers in the landscape they’re visiting combining the destination’s nature, wildlife, culture, history and gastronomy.
Signature trips are also designed to help give trip members a better understanding of nature and how rewilding is working positively to restore biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support local livelihoods through nature-based tourism.
Our signature journeys
Signature Journeys focus on providing the best available accommodations, restaurants and services in and around Rewilding Areas. They require reasonable levels of fitness as we include daily walks over uneven terrain for several hours a day. We tend to offer Signature Journeys in destinations that have a more mature tourism infrastructure and deep cultural heritage.

Our signature Walks
Signature Walks focus on destinations where walking through wild nature is the primary reason for travel. Accommodations are often in family run local guesthouses and bedrooms may not always have en suite bathrooms. Signature Walks may change accommodations more frequently as we walk along historic or cultural routes from point to point. Walks may last for 6 hours+ per day, mainly on marked trails and participants will require a good level of fitness.
Our signature adventures
Signature Adventures may combine different styles of accommodations that are primarily based on the trips chosen route. Stays in village hotels and local guesthouses may be combined with tented camp accommodations or wild camping in order to deliver exceptional nature encounters. Signature Adventures tend to be offered in wilder, more remote destinations where tourism infrastructure is less developed. The focus is on exploring nature and local culture and always includes daily walks. On occasion adventures may include options to kayak, mountain bike or horseback ride.

Expert led tours have a specific focus that can help tell the story of rewilding landscapes by capturing the essence of their nature, culture and gastronomy. Our experts dig deep into the local ‘terroir’ and connect the group to rewilding landscapes and communities that helped shape them. This may be through photography, conservation, food, wine or a literary connection to the landscape.
